A leading nutrition education organization partners with Responsum Health to help CKD patients craft nutritious, appetizing meal plans for better health outcomes.

[WASHINGTON, D.C., December 7, 2023] —Today, Responsum Health (Responsum), an innovative developer of personalized health knowledge apps and digital patient communities, announced a new partnership with Cukebook, a patient-centric organization focused on providing recipes, guides, and nutrition tools for people living with chronic kidney disease.

Together, Cukebook and Responsum seek to improve, amplify, and advance both the adoption of Responsum for CKD, a free, personalized education and patient peer support community for people with Chronic Kidney Disease, and Cukebook’s mission to bring nutrition-related information and resources to people with the same health condition.

The new partnership will enable both Responsum and Cukebook to share and exponentially expand the reach of their educational and support features, and increase healthier outcomes for thousands more CKD patients seeking actionable guidance for sustainable meal planning both at home and away.

“We’re elated to add Cukebook to our specialized group of incredible patient education partners,” said Andrew Rosenberg, Founder and CEO of Responsum Health. “The most common question our community members ask is, ‘What can I eat?’, and Cukebook provides a plethora of options for them, appropriate to all disease stages.  We are thrilled to be working with them.’’

“We are excited to partner with Responsum for CKD to further our mission of making culinary nutrition a mainstay of kidney health by sharing our expertise with their community,” said Lauren Budd Levy, Director of Cukebook. “Evidence-based information and a strong support network help people with kidney disease thrive; this new partnership between Cukebook and Responsum will further this goal.”

About Cukebook

Cukebook is a nonprofit whose mission is to inform individuals with chronic kidney disease how to reach their health goals through cooking and nutrition. Anthony Valentine, the founder of Cukebook, was diagnosed with CKD in 2017. His degree in Culinary Arts helped him develop kidney-friendly recipes; however, he felt lost in navigating the renal diet.  He created Cukebook to share his recipes and teamed up with a kidney dietitian to provide evidence-based nutrition information. Cukebook is an entire platform designed to make kidney-friendly cooking easier.
